Fire Inspections...

The Grand Traverse Metro Fire Prevention Bureau provides a number of inspection services to the Metro Area business and industry. Mandated by township ordinance, inspections are conducted on all existing commercial and industrial occupancies, including Hotel/Motels. The Michigan State Building Code and Fire Code are adopted by local township ordinances and are enforceable by state law.

Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department Fire Prevention Bureau currently employs:
  3 Fire Inspectors
  1 Plans Reviewer and
  1 Asst Chief / Fire Marshal.
